So to simplify it, how do you find if your site is actaully in google searches.
use this link
http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=site:mydomain.co.uk
and replace mydomain. co. uk or com, with your own site, google will return how it sees your site, If no searches are returned then you can manually add your Url to Google
Add you site to http://www.google.com/addurl/?continue=/addurl
add you site to Yahoo: https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/submit
Simple and easy, remember to start building your backlinks ASAP. I never understood the importance of this until very recently, i have put together a great resource to help understand the back linking process.
